RAW Tips Wide

RAW Rolling Paper Tips are an important part of self-rolled cigarettes. Some people mistakenly call them filters, but they are NOT filters (they do not filter anything, they are just mouthpieces).

RAW offers the largest tip selection on the market. You can choose between RAW Classic tips or RAW Hemp Cotton tips. Currently, we even produce rubber tips and ready-to-use tips.

RAW Tips are made using an antique Fourdrinier paper machine. Since RAW papers are produced in Alcoy, Spain, we have access to machines for the production of thin paper only. In order to produce thicker papers, we had to visit an old paper mill in North China still using the original Fourdrinier equipment. This was the only place we could find that still used one of these ancient machines – it was necessary to produce the special long-fiber paper used in RAW tips.

Want to learn more? Modern paper mills use small-structure cellulose to produce paper. In the past, fiber was used instead. For the tip paper to be of the best quality, it must be made of fiber, not just boiled cellulose. Tips made of fiber roll easily AND have sufficient structural rigidity to maintain their shape in your mouth AND not dissolve. Throughout the world, there is hardly anyone who still uses the original Fourdrinier paper machines, as they are antique and expensive to manufacture with. We were lucky to find this old mill because it is the only one in the world that can produce our RAW tips according to our requirements.
